  • Question

I've been looking in the site for the answer to this but can't quite find it.. I am in Day 3 of induction and having terrible, terrible breath. Brushing or nothing is helping. I googled this and apparently it's kind of a good thing. BUT I keep seeing people say "no gum during induction".. so.. I can't use Sugar Free Gum during induction? I know I can't chew an entire pack in one day but can I have 1 or 2 sticks during the day during my most extreme bad breath moments or when I know I'm about to interact face to face with someone?

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT ALREADY!

    Re: Question

You can have sugar free gum. Each piece counts against the limit of 3 servings of sweetener.

Some people chew parsley or eat mint.

Drink more water ... that helps.

      Re: Question

My daughter and I both take body mints. These really do help with bad breath. It helps with all odors the body releases!!! I don't think there's anything in them to make them illegal on Atkins. I hope not!

Do you see anything there that you can't have on Induction?

                Re: Question

I second the more veggies and more water advice! Crunchy veggies (bell peppers, broccoli, cucumbers, jicama, celery) are great for this
