  • Vegetable Question

Ok so it' says 2-3 cups of the first list of veggies. then 1 cup of the second if 2 i eaten of the 1st.

So am I supposed to eat 3 cups total each day? I have only been doing 1 cup of the first list and 1 of the second. I thought the second list was just optional and that I had to eat 2 cups of veggies but could have 3?

Can someone clarify? i don't know if I am reading it right.

Yes, you're supposed to have 3 cups per day.

And if you read Rule #3 in Chapter 11, MOST of your daily net carbs should be coming from Induction vegetables.

What happens if you dont? Because I am losing weight that I feel like I shouldn't change anything quite yet? Or do I need to add it tomorrow.
Is the goal to stay under 20 net carbs or be somewhere around 20?

The goal is to be as close to 20 net as possible. It's nutritionally sound.

I would start eating all your vegetables tomorrow.

You can lose weight by drinking nothing but water, but that's not nutritionally sound.

          Re: Vegetable Question

i guess some of my confusion is that the first set of veggies says 2-3 cups
but if you have 3 cups of these aren't they lower in net carbs than 2 plus 1 cup of the other group?
so that is why I thought if I had one cup of the second group and 2 cups of the first it's too much?
          hope that makes sense.

This is not necessarily the case. Depending on the vegetables you choose, you could be eating more net carbs from 3 cups of salad vegetables than from 2+1 cups.

"I thought the second list was just optional"

The second list is optional, but eating 3 cups of vegetables isn't.
