So, I found my old copy of DANDR but mine is copy right 1992, with an update and revised date of 1999 and has blue cover, not red. Does that make a difference? It's still labled as Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution...

Yes, it makes a big difference.
The 1992 is essentially the 1972 book.
Your book doesn't do "net" carbs, or the OWL carb ladder, for starters.
