  • AHHH!! McDonalds sausage patty??? Restart 14 day Induction??

I went out of town for a wedding this weekend and stayed away from alcohol and cake. Man was it hard!!!!!!
Anyway, I ate McDonalds breakfast Yesterday & today and each time I had teh same thing, 2 sausage patties and eggs.
I went to McD's website and viewed their nutrition info for teh sausge and this is what they listed:

    Sausage Patty:
Pork, water, salt, spices, corn syrup solids, dextrose, monosodium glutamate, BHA, propyl gallate, citric acid. May contain whey protein concentrate.

    Notice the damned corn syrup!!!!!

I'm currently on day 7 of induction, will I have to start the 14 day induction phase all over again????

    :sarcasm urplequ: :raving

No, just keep going and chalk it up to a lesson learned! Great job staying away from cake etc. at the wedding!

I give you extra credit for not drinking or eating cake. Maybe drink a little extra water.

I felt kind of funny after I ate the sausage the first day and told myself I'd stay away from it but went ahead and got it again this morning. :nono

Good for you that you didn't fall for any of the traps set out for you!!!!
Too bad of that sausage, but hey, as long as you take it as a lesson learned I wouldn't go too hard on myself if I were you.
Just keep up the good work and now with double inspiration !!!

Mcdonald's tricked me too. I had what i was SURE would be legal for induction, one of the grilled chicken salads. I posted about my experience, but basically, I stayed away from Mcdonalds after that. I heard that their burgers have soy in them. Either way, too many other options out there to mess around with McDonalds or Taco Bell (which adds sugar to their meats i hear).

            Stick with places you know.

I printed out the nutritional facts from several fast food joints nearby and now i know IN ADVANCE what foods are okayt and which ones are not.

We all make mistakes, but i bet that you won't make that one again!
