you sound just like me.. last friday. and I actually left during my lunch break.. went to the grocery store and bought deviled eggs, celery, crme cheese, and some stuff from the salad bar...

    work is the worst...

eggs are hard to snack on because they STINK...

so.. I guess I'm looking for suggestions to....

last week somebody told me celery with creme cheese... but it's kinda crunchy for work...

I need some good non stinky snack ideas too....

I use this as a mid-morning snack Monday thru Friday. I cut up a stalk of celery into bite size pieces along with a couple of ounces of some kind of meat like maybe a chicken leg cut up or 1/2 of a pork chop or sometimes just cut up a couple pieces of ham, all bite size and easy to pop in your mouth without the whole place knowing you are chewing away. Bite size celery doesn't make a lot of noise!

I'll bring olives and some small dill pickles to work. Cheese cubes are quick and eay, but watch you don't go over the limit.

If you can bring in a little insulated bag, you can put cheese sticks (mozzarella doesn't smell), a container with cubes of roast chicken or turkey, etc.

The best 'snack' is one that combines fat with protein. The fat will help keep the cravings away.

sorry for the multiple posts, this is a recipe i found for salad drssing for a greek salad, i am not sure about the "red wine vinegar" but is the rest ok ??

                  INGREDIENTS:
                  1 1/2 quarts olive oil
                  1/3 cup garlic powder
                  1/3 cup dried oregano
                  1/3 cup dried basil
                  1/4 cup pepper
                  1/4 cup salt
                  1/4 cup onion powder
                  1/4 cup Dijon-style mustard
                  2 quarts red wine vinegar

                  --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                  DIRECTIONS:
In a very large container, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, basil, pepper, salt, onion powder, and Dijon-style mustard. Pour in the vinegar, and mix vigorously until well blended. Store tightly covered at room temperature.

Wow, that's a huge amount of salad dressing! I would avoid red wine vinegar on induction. A Greek friend of mine gave me a very simple recipe for Greek salad. Three tablespoons of olive oil, one tablespoon of olive oil, a teaspoon of oregano leaves and salt and pepper. That's enought to toss a big salad with believe it or not. And yes, olives are a special category food, no more than twenty a day. Feta cheese is also allowed. Just watch you don't go over your daily limit.

                      sweet

                      now it gets exciting

greek salads are a good snack, will nix the red wine vinegar and keep the olives down

                      thanks
