As you know from your DANDR - alcohol is not on the acceptable foods list so just as you won't be eating 'just one' burger bun or plate of pasta, if you want to stay on your induction programme then you won't have 'just one' beer - lowcarb or otherwise.
Apart from that there are other reasons not to indulge
1. Alcohol will affect you more than it used to now you are lowcarbing and many people have reported losing control of their eating choices and slipping off the induction train.
That 'just one drink' could lead to a carbfest :yikes
2. Your body will burn the alcohol in preference to your fats and will store your fats as FAT while doing so, thus delaying any weightloss and perhaps adding a pound or two!
3. Once you allow yourself to bend the rules for 'a special occasion' you will have a harder time resisting the 'occasional' lapse from the plan in the future and this may result in major binges in the future.
Life is full of 'special occasions' and we have to learn how to negotiate our way through that minefield while staying on track. :hug
Do a search for posts containing the words 'I cheated' and see how this affected other members to help you decide whether to cheat or not.
You will only be cheating yourself out of optimum results, and just imagine how strong you will feel if you are able to say afterwards - I stayed on Induction :joyWondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Further to Elizellens comment.Originally posted by Me'Shelland i want to know if just ONE light beer (Amstel Light)
I would add, what are the chances of you just sticking to ONE beer? Chances are when you have had one you will have the taste for it and want another and then another.
I think it would just be easier for you to stay off of it all together.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!
I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!
