  • Induction and sleep

I just wanted to comment that I am now on my fifth day of Induction, and after the second day, I noticed that on Induction, I have developed an AMAZING capacity for sleep that I never had before.

Of course, that may be part of the malaise that has to do with the Induction flu.

I'm really looking forward to that "burst of energy" people talk about, but I just don't have it yet.... :sadblinky

Probably has something to do with the fact that my first day with no caffeine was yesterday.... :raving

Well, just had an avocado-tomato-cheese omelet and a handful of bacon, time to hit Starbucks for a decaf (I think no Splenda or Sweet 'N' Low this time) and I'm off to work! Toodles everyone.

I have had the best sleep since starting atkins. before I would toss and turn, and now I sleep like a rock. An earthquake could be going on and I wouldn't feel a thing.

The only problem is I go to bed at around 10 pm and wake up at 6, but usually at about 4:30 am I wake up from a dead sleep to go the bathroom, then sleep like a rock again.

So other than the 4:30 thing I get more energy just from that

I agree with Spazzy, I fall asleep some where around 12 and wake up around 8, but find myself having to get up anduse the bathroom once a night. But yes I feel my quality of sleep has gotten better.

Wow. me too. For the last couple of days I've been sleeping really good. I use to wake up with like headaches due to sleeping wrong or lack of sleep but now it's almost like I fall into this deep sleep and I feel alert when I awake. Great feeling.

I'm on the other end of the spectrum . . . :sadblinky . Since starting Atkins . . . I have an incredible case of insomnia. I try reading, walking around . . . taking a warm bath . . . nothing seems to work.

Guess I have too much new energy for my own good ensive

            Sleep

I am sure everyone is different. I slept better Sunday night than I have in years. Last night I had to go to the bathroom TWICE!!!! I went right back to sleep both times...but I woke up at 4:15 and could not go back to sleep.

I remember from when I did Atkins before...after about the 3rd or 4th week is when the energy levels really pick up. Also, you will notice an amazing difference in you hair...mine is usually very fine...and it almost starts feeling like a different head of hair. It really is amazing.-
