right now it doesn't matter what is in the sausage carbwise something in your foods is causing you to bloat and it could be an ingredient in one of your foods. it could be a food intolerance to anything in your diet or it could be your intestinal flora adjusting to the lack of carbs and will pass soon.

if it bothers you then you need to make a change in your foods to see if it is one of them and the only way to do that is to use what allergist call the elimination diet. you eat a bsic food diet for 2 weeks and if your troubles are gone you know it was one of ther removed foods then you add back those eleinimated foods one at a time until your sympttoms return and then you know that food was a trigger for it. Once you have tested all the foods you eliminated and found your trouble foods you should be bloating free

            Eat your veggies!

I am not a big veggies fan either, but I found that I would get nauseous etc. if I skimped too much on them. Find the ones that you like and even a few you don't and try making them different ways. And try and have a little bit for every meal, just not a salad!

I didn't use to like brussel sprouts, but a friend of mine found these baby ones that with a little butter, I can actually tolerate and have grown to like.

Mix in veggies with your eggs and other meals so that they aren't as obvious.

Also watch of for alot of the so-called "low carb" type replacements. They can have additives etc. that may affect you. I have found that going with the more natural foods with less additives, etc. but maybe 2-3 carbs seems to work better for me. Sausage can also cause some reactions in people, like some pork products can too.

Follow the advice on this board and make sure your are doing Atkins by the book, not your own way.

Before I found this board the first induction week i didnt eat any veggies, and had the atkins bars and shakes, and way too much meat, but when i found this forum, and read the book,I did a clean induction and added veggies, didnt do the shakes and candy bars, and limited the splenda. You may be surprised as i was, in that the veggies, dont taste bad at all on Atkins. I didnt like water either, and now i drink more than 100 oz a day.

I say ditch the sausages. Also, get some ketosticks from a chemist/pharmacy and test yourself to see if you're in ketosis.
