Overdid my salad veggies today....

  • Overdid my salad veggies today....

    ... by one celery stalk (approximately) and about a half dozen mushroom slices. I'm pissed at myself.

    Of course, I only had 1/2 a cup of my 1-cup salad veggies today (1/4 a beefsteak tomato), but I also had a half an avocado today.

    Overdid it a little I think. Not sure. See my "special category foods" question.

    Anyways, I guess it would be going overboard to say I just "cheated" today, but I'm still pissed whenever I make little goofs like this. Then I get frustrated that I have to be so anal about this.

    I can't wait until OWL.... :nod

    I don't know your menu so I can't tell if you really went over or not. I'll believe you.

    Don't kick yourself too hard. If you want to call it a "cheat", at least you did it with the right foods. You know what you did wrong, if anything, so just pick yourself up, dust yourself off and drive on.

    You're not the first that has done that........ I'm confident you won't be the last! :guns

      The good thing is you ate veggies that register low on the glycemic index. I'm proud of you for knowing that you'll be loving the OWL lifestyle. You're going to go far on this WOE. I just know it!

        You may find a free account at www.fitday.com really helpful to help you keep track of things like eating 65% fat, 30% protein and 5% carbs. It's been an indispensible tool for me.

          good for you getting on top of any cheating on your plan as it is so easy to rationalize well so what a few extra mushrooms will not harm me and then it is a few extra something else and something else and soon you are a full blown carbout off the wagon.

          Hang in there and keep working your Atkins.
