no you cannot have carrots as they are higher in sugar than other veggies...if it's not on the list don't eat it...as for carb counts...all packaging for foods have carb counts on them...you can also try fitday.com and see if they have the nutritional info for whatever you have eaten...you need to eat 3 cups of veggies a day spread out throughout your meals...pick up a copy of the 2002 DNDR that has alot of helpful information you need for this diet and sign up for free with fitday.com to track your carbs/cals/fats to make sure you are staying within the right percentages.

you need to eat 3 cups of the acceptable induction vegies during induction. Check your packages and use that free online site www.fitday.com or any other site you can find for checking out your carb counts.

Do yourself a favor and get a copy of DR ATKINS NEW DIET REVOLUTION 2002 or newer printing. It will be the best $7 you ever invested in yourself.

then read it cover to cover and then reread the induction chapter 11. Happy low carbing.

No carrots, read labels. And drink your water. This is my second week of induction menu......

If it isnt on the list, it shouldnt pass your lips!!

On fitday you have to check whats in the amount box...for eggs, it always pops up 1 "cup" instead of 1 egg. If you use the arrow, it gives you choices, and you select the size of the egg you had. It took me a while to catch that. Hope this helps. You'll get the hang of it all!

Also if you're buying packaged meatballs, they have bread in them. They usually show up as pretty high in carbs. You can make them without bread by using eggs and seasonings, and they turn out pretty yummy. I also used a little ground flax seed as a binder...they were good.
