  • Feeling depressed today

    :no

I'm not having serious carb cravings or anything, and the caffeine thing is OK. I'm just feeling down. I need some encouragement... I like the idea of being sixty pounds lighter and eating healthy, well-balanced meals, but there's a lot of rigor in this and I've got a *really* busy life right now.

I guess I picked a funny time to do this, but I suppose there's never a good time to make big changes.

    :anger

OK I'm going to sneak out of work early (been very unproductive today) and go hit the gym.

I know what that feels like, and yes you are right, there is never a good time to make big changes. Change is very scary. All I can tell you is to just grin and bear it, it gets easier as you go, trust me, and when you have a problem do just what you did: come to the ha !

    Best Wishes

      Don't be depressed!

Don't be depressed. There are lots of us that have pretty busy schedules. For me I had to tell myself, "If you can sit in front of the t.v. and watch an hour long show, you can get off your butt and work towards something productive!" I've been doing it ever since. You do not have to do a lot of anything. Start with whatever amount you can squeeze in. As you get more into this woe/wol and the exercise, you will want to do more trust me :hug

Now I know we all have blue days sometimes, but I found during induction that being blue and snappy was becoming a habit...soooo I started taking B vitamens. Now I call them my happy pills, because on the days I take them, I'm HAPPY. :yes Really, they keep me calm, peaceful, and energetic. Just a thought.

Thanks guys. I *did* go to the gym, and I put in 45 minutes of straight cardio, which was very nice. I think I'm losing the low energy. I then went to the store and got a big rotisserie chicken (no ingredients, just chicken) and had a salad. I'm feeling better.

BTW did I tell everyone that my wife is living in another city right now? We talk every day (several times a day), but this is really getting to me.

As a sidenote, one of my reasons for doing this low-carb thing is that when this year is over and we're living together again (4 more months!) I will have undergone some significant changes.
