  • Restarting Atkins

Hello everyone! I am going to start Atkins again tomorrow. I was on it for over a month but I ended up cheating and haven't gotten back on it since. The whole reason I cheated was because I didn't take any snacks with me to work one day. I had to stay late and I was starving! So, I started thinking about all the things I would love to eat. Then, I noticed I had a PayDay candy bar a coworker had give me a while back. So, I reached for it and I went downhill from there. The moral of the story: Don't let yourself go hungry. I will not go anywhere without low carb snacks ever again. If I am not hungry, I won't be so tempted to cheat.

                    Re: Restarting Atkins

                    Hey yuly333
I know EXACTLY what you mean on the snack thing! My downfall when I decided to go off of Atkins was eating out in a restaurant. I had a raging 'pity party' going on and used the 'I'll never get to come to this restaurant again' ploy to get me off! Live and learn! I heard something the other day that I've kept with me:

"What you were ISN'T what you are or what you will be!"

Goodbye past! Hello future! Best wishes on your decisions! I'm newly back as well! We'll have to be cheerleaders for each other!!

                    Be well-
