  • Starting over again, wish me luck !:)

Hi all, I started back in January and did well on induction for 1.5 weeks, but got discouraged because the scale did not change, but now I'm trying again. The summers here are so hot and I have all the more reasons to lose this extra 100 and something pounds.

    Thanks!

    hi! good luck!
I'm in a similar boat. I stuck to it last year 7/04-12/04 and then totally lost it after christmas. now I'm more than I was last july when I started. I am restarting today and determined to do it right this time. let's get those pounds off!
Sorry everyone. I've had to abandon Atkins. After slipping up, I gained back everything and more. I fully believe in and support Atkins, I know it works, but it's too hard for me. I'm following my own plan now, exercising more, eating less in general and healthier, still focusing more on veggies and fruits and whole grains and much less processed junk and bad carbs. I still visit here occasionally, so I will keep my stats listed here when I do. I wish everyone the best on this program or any others that work for you.

11-10-07: 210/146/125 - more than 60 pounds lost this year!

      GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!1

It seems likie it sucks when no numbers move and you don't feel like you look different, but it's weird casue all of the sudden, it hits you and everyone, at once, tells you how great you are looking.

Just think of it like this. Do this for a month, year, 6 mos. whatever- and then look back. Can you imagine a year from now and not having even tried for that time.... That wasted time would suck even more.

In the nicest way I can say it, suck it up and try, try, try. you will get into it in no time and you will be so happy for sticking with it. I find that hopping on here adn posting and reading about how great everyone else is doing makes me happy. But, I get jealous, too. I know if they can do it, I can, too. So, I get right back to it. If you follow the plan, you can't go wrong. it might take a while to see it, but you will!! :yes

Hello :wave welcome back on induction. :hug

Shelley Lynn has just posted a link to a good post explaining what is happenening when the scales are unkind to you, which you might find interesting

Also there is a sticky on this forum called 'Weightloss is not linear' that a lot of people have found reassuring which you might like to read.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
