Induction Results - 10 pounds lost

    Hello everyone,

I just wanted to say thanks for all the support and encouragement. Induction is over and I've lost 10 pounds. I'm very happy with the weight lose but I'm not sure Atkins is for me. I will limit my carbs for the rest of my life thanks to Dr. Atkins. I'm going to add fruit, bread back into my diet though, no sugar!!! I started off this year weighting 315 pounds, I now weigh 260 pounds. I'm about 45 pounds from my goal. Although limiting carbs was a contributing factor, it was my overall lifestyle change that has the weight coming off. Good luck to everyone!!!

      Congrats on your weight loss.

You know your idea of adding fruit and grains back to your diet is exactly what the On-Going Weight Loss phase of Atkins does--adds back entire food groups while you continue to lose weight. Re-read the OWL chapters in your book and read through the OWL forum.

Don't get brainwashed into thinking that Induction is the only weight loss phase of Atkins.

EXACTLY!!! I eat fruit every single day and also whole grains ... this is a 4 phase way of life and EXTREMELY easy to stick with ...

Nearly 4 years to prove it!
