ok ive been reading www.sugarfreesheila.com ALOT. she's a major inspiration for me, and i know she goes by DANDR 2002 version i believe. it was the book that dr. atkins himself wrote before his death and she doesnt go along with the books after that, that the company puts out. she doesnt use mayo for induction, and i wasnt sure if many of you do. basically im wondering what book you all go by. my copy is from 1992, and i was wondering if that is still ok to use or if i should update?

    thanks :wave

You need the 2002 version because that was the most recent version available. You can buy it used at amazon.com for very little moolah!

Re: mayo...it's up to you whether you use it or not, really....it's on the Acceptable Foods list, but if you don't like it, don't use it. It's a good way of getting fats in.
Does the older version of the book not allow mayo? :confused

Older versions definitely espouse mayo, as does the newest version of Atkins' book (I have books dating all the way back to 1983).
