  • Day 3: Another Great Day on Program!

    Hey All!
Another great day on Program! But I had a small problem today:
I simply wasn't hungry! It's weird to feel that way! I'm usually 'starving' all the time (actually I use to eat anything I wanted anytime I wanted whenever I wanted! Sound familiar?) Now I'm so controlled! It's such a great feeling but what do I do about this not being hungry. I'll pose the same question I did to Betty on another post: If you're not hungry should you still try to get some protein and your carbs in? That's what I've been doing. If anyone else has had a similar situation let me know.
THROW CONFETTI! I made it through the bridal shower sans the dessert! (And the dessert I brought was a killer-coconut cake!) But I brought my little container of sugar free jello and felt fine.
I also wanted to thank all of you for supporting me so far. I know it's only been three days but you've been awesome! I've been on Atkins boards before and have left disillusioned! You guys talk the talk AND walk the walk! Thanks!

    Be well-

That's wonderful Jade. I've had my whoosh for this week it lasted from last Sunday till Friday where I lost 5.5 pounds. Now the scale has stopped but will pick up again in a few more days. You'll be where you want too before you know it! I know the time for me has passed so quickly and I don't even remember weighing between 160-180. Keep going and you have come to the right place!

Awesome!! I love watching that needle move but more importantly to me is having this control! THAT has been missing for soooo long! My clothes are starting to feel looser and I'm not so sore. I have fibromyalgia and I know that when I am eating low carb and exercising I feel so much better! I don't have to take so many meds either!

Thanks again for being in my corner!

Jade the only thing I find irritating is once those clothes start getting loose then you have to buy new ones and usually I don't get to wear them for long. That is the only disappointment about this WOE I find something I like and before you know it it is too big. *lol*

Thanks so much!! And may I say that your story was one of the ones that led me back to the board. I found tom's newsletter in my box and your story was in it! You are SUCH an inspiration girl!!!

Well, here is my solution to that problem: GOODWILL!!! Seriously! I refuse to spend my hard earned money on 'big' clothes that I know I will be out of in months! So I go to my local Goodwill. You would be surprised at all of the nice things that people get rid of!! I'm sure some of them are there because the person either couldn't fit in them anymore or are on Atkins and they are too loose now!! Give it a try!
Thanks for taking the time to encourage me! I'm lovin' it!

I'm with you on the money thing I only buy clearance. My brother works for Kellwood a factory which ships clothes to Macy's and Jcpenny etc and every year they have a sample sale. I went this time and everything had the tags on them and in garment bags and ALL were a size 10 so I bought 12 outfits and 6 pairs of pants and cost $56.00! No one was buying much because they said the truck only delivered "small" clothes. I hit the jackpot. Should get me by for a little while. I am going to give all my clothes to goodwill next week. I still have tags on some but forgot where I bought them. Any clothing that makes someone ask when is the baby due is gonna go! *LOL*
