  • Is this normal?

    Hi Everyone,

Finished 2 weeks indusction, lost 9 pounds in the first week and then nothing in the second week. I am now on my 3rd day of week three and decided to have an extended induction. Is is normal to lose weight in the first week and nothing in the second or is it just me?.

    Tianna.

Dont panic, it is 100% normal. Your body is re - adjusting to lots of different things right now, that 9lbs included.

Your weight loss will level out after a while.

    Congrats on a fantastic start.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

As Rich said it is perfectly normal :hug
There is a sticky on this forum called 'weightloss isn't linear' which you might find reassuring.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Yup, it's normal. We're all different and our bodies are going to react differently on this woe. If you're eating only induction acceptable foods, drinking all your water and exercising, you are totally going to see results. Don't forget to measure too!

Here's the link to the sticky Elizellen mentioned

          I'm sure it'll reassure you.
I myself have had a little pause in my weight loss here and there in the last year and I have to re-read it myself sometimes...lol

Take a moment and read the sticky's in the forums you go to..lots of good info in there. :yes

remember that the scale only tells you the total mass not the changes in it as you lose the fat mass add lean muslce tissues and your fluid weight is in a constant state of flux. Make friends with your tape measure and watch the inches of that bbulky fat mass melt off as the scales fail to validate your efforts.

              Happy low carbing.

Personally I try to avoid the scale all together. But I have noticed that I am losing inches. I see a difference in my clothes. But good going Tianna. Keep it up.
