I have read a as many posts as I could today and have come to the conclusion that my weight loss may not come easy. I go to the gym a few days a week so I hope to see some improvment soon. I would like to be close to my goal in July. AM I DREAMING?

I will log in everyday. I will not wiegh myself for a week. I CAN BE STRONG! :yes

Hi there! There's no saying for sure how much you'll lose and how quickly, but if you exercise, it'll definitely come off faster and you'll be so much healthier for it!

Welcome aboard! Like Cleo said, along with eating only foods on the acceptable food list and drinking water, exercise is the third component of this way of eating (woe). Keep up with all three and you'll be well on your way to meeting your goals.

        Hi! :wave

You may want to give this a quick read

Since you're so close to goal, you're going to want to have a good understanding of OWL. Lots of us stayed on Induction for longer than the two weeks, but it was because we had much more than 11 pounds to lose, and it's important that you understand you need to move on up the rungs soon after you have finished your Induction.

The purpose of this is so that when you do reach your goal, you'll have a healthy new way of eating that includes a whole full range of foods, as Dr. Atkins intended.

It's true that the closer to goal you are, the slower the weight loss but in terms of the big picture, it's better to take a little longer and develope good eating habits that will last you a lifetime rather than do something that gives a quick result, but you aren't able to sustain it, right?

Definitely exercise makes a big difference, so all the best to the new healthier you!

Re: New here, thought I would say hi.

            Hey Cindy!
Welcome! Sometimes it might look like to others (especially those of us who have lots to lose) that your weight loss might seem like a piece of cake. But I don't wear your clothes and I'm sure it is a struggle to lose the weight you need to lose! So just go for it! And remember this: ATKINS IS A LIFESTYLE...NOT A DIET! If you can make that your goal then you will never have to worry about gaining weight again!
Glad to have you with us!

            Be well-

*P.S. Am just starting back too! I'm on Day 4!
