  • New to the board

I am new to the board, but I am on day 6 of Adkins. I have the book and am in reading progress, but I will be honest with you I did not think this would work for me. I sneaked on the scales yesterday and nearly fell over - 5 pound lost in 5 days. I know some of it is water weight, but a loss at this point for me is a great event.

I am disabled and am very limited in the exercise area, but I can do a little. I have tried other diets and continually gained weight. This is the first weight loss for me, so I am going to stay with this and see where I go.

I have been lurking out here on the board for a couple weeks and thanks to all of you was able to get started, so a big thanks from me to all of you.

            :wave welcome to ADBB

Have you looked into the PACE program? it is exercise for folk with Arthritis ans can be done sitting in a chair. there are also wheel chair aerobic tapes out too and exercise programs for those with heart and lung ailments too so I'm sure you can with your treatment teams help find an exercise program geared toward your disablity. happy low carbing.

Thanks again for the welcome everyone.
2big4mysize I am now looking into PACE - I have heard of it, but I had no details on it. Now I am reading up on it.

Jade - nice to meet another newbie. I wish you the best and hope to see you around often.

tabekat - I am glad I found this forum too and am not sure how I stumbled across it.
