    Hello,

I just started the diet on Monday. Um...I don't feel anything. What are some changes that you may have? I'm on day 4...Also, before starting I didn't eat bacon...now, I have 1 peiece each morning along with eggs. Is this okay?

      Hey purleflowerbee
Welcome! Glad to have you along on the journey! I agree with MotherofGizmo. Read the book-the 2000 edition. It is chock full of what you need to know to be successful on this food plan.
Everyone is different in the way they experience the program. The book will tell you some of the things to look forward to 'feeling-wise'.
You might also want to visit the Atkins website and the section under induction.

      Be well-

Welcome to the adbb board. If you havent seen the fitday post, it is a great tool to log down the food you eat in a given day. That way you can post it on the board, and seasoned atkiners can help you, and see potential snags. I think the link is www.fitday.com . If that url is not right, there is a post somewhere where you can see the right address.

              Welcome!

Welcome! Yes, bacon is fine. I didn't really eat it much either before I started this woe, except to cook with. Now I eat it all the time. Sometimes I have 3 or 4 strips in the morning with two eggs for breakfast. :yummy

                Hi PureFlowerbee :wave

                Welcome aboard!

Just looking around this Board I'm sure you've seen some stunning, jaw dropping examples of how effective Atkins can be. Many people here have lost 25...50..100..200 pounds and absolutely reinvented themselves - all you need is commitment, determination and you'll succeed.

                And one more thing...

Make sure you have the most recent 2002 copy of "Dr Atkins New Diet revolution" known around here as DANDR it's critical that you have the book.

Read it and use it as your guide and reference. Make no mistake, if you choose not to read the book - failure is guaranteed.

You'll find warm, non judgmental support here, 24/7 365 days a year by people who believe in Atkins, themselves and - you.

                Welcome!

                Peter ha

Hi and welcome! Bacon is okay, just try to find the brands that don't contain sugar. You're gonna get really good at reading labels on this way of eating (woe).

purleflowerbee, Welcome! I'm new to ADBB too, but not new to Atkins. I wish you much luck, motivation, endurance, and willpower during your transition to this WOE.

I'll tell you what is hard....when you do Induction and don't follow the rules for OWL and Lifetime Maintanence phases and start packing on the pounds again :sadblinky

So stick with it and definitely find support. This is the first time I've sought support for my change in diet, but I'm positive (from what I've seen so far) that I'm bound to be supported (if nothing else lol).
