hi. i was wondering if someone could be so kind to give me specific examples of how i can get my daily amount of potassium/calcium? i know broccoli has calcium, but i just wasnt sure how much we need in a day. Also, i bought these "one a day-carb control" vitamins last month, and was wondering if those were safe for induction. im waiting on my new 2002 version to come in the mail, since i was told i should get the most recent one. thank you.

Many foods on Induction are high in potassium, like chicken, turkey, beef, pork, etc.
As for calcium, dark leafy green vegetables (kale, collards, Swiss chard, bok choy, spinach, etc.) are good sources of calcium. Dairy--the 3-4 ounces of cheese you are allowed to eat are good calcium sources as are canned salmon or mackeral with the bones.
We don't have a list of other potassium rich foods or calcium rich foods, but you can always google "potassium rich foods" or "calcium rich foods" for a list.
As for the one-a-day and its appropriateness for Atkins, you'll have to compare the vitamin content list in DANDR 2002 to whatever is in that vitamin. Centrum Silver is one brand that is almost the same as the Atkins brand.

I was wondering if you use www.fitday.com?
I work out my vitamin/consumption through Fitday - they do some pretty good reports for you. It shows your consumption as a minimum daily required %
Try it out, the link to "Reports" is on the left side, and select the 2nd report "Am I meeting my nutrient requirements?" for Today, Past week, Past 2 weeks or Past month.
I found I was deficient in a lot of the vitamins, so I picked some supplements that should hopefully fix it30yo F 5'5 (166cm)
