The scale cannot tell me hour by hour what my worth is and I refuse to subject myself to the indignity of allowing an eternal source the right to determine how I feel about myself.
I can really relate to that quote Tabekat. I actually wrote that little line down and taped it to my scale and on the inside of my closet to remind me every morning.....I need not let the scale determine my worth as I believe that it has. It's hard but I'll get there. Thanks :nod

When I started atkins I used to look at the scale every morning too. I only think it is bad for you (like tabekat said) if you draw good or bad conclusions about it every time you look at the scale. I realized after a while that the scale is pointless to gloat or beat yourself up over what the scale says. It is simply a means to an end. You're on this thing for life, so what do you care if it is today or tomorrow that you reach goal?
To me it would seem that impatience with your body is the first reason to doubt this diet. If you're a human being, the diet works. There is no reason to doubt - but impatience is your real enemy. Dont confuse him for doubt.

The scale is my guide. My clothes are my judge. Inches cannot be measured on a scale.
