    Hi All! :wave

    Im one week down on Atkins, and I feel absolutley GREAT.

    Here's my story. Ive been on Weight watchers for three years, lost 47 lbs, now Im serious about taking the rest of it off. In my research to figure out why I had headaches/fatigue/irritability/mood swings/lethargy, I came across some posts about how Atkins can "cure" that if you give it a go. I thought, what a perfect method, I can get off those last pounds and hopefully get rid of some of the other problems I have.

    Im only one week down, and I can tell it was the caffeine, carbs, and other nasty stuff I was putting in my body. I spring out of bed, Im happy, ready to go out and do anything. A month ago, I would have fought it!

    Once I got past the caffeine withdrawals, in which I completely thought I was going to die, I started to feel amazing. Im so glad I did it!

    My question is....I have not been able to eat eggs since I was a little girl. Is there anything besides cheese (slices, wheels, sticks) that anyone might advise to eat to replace the eggs? Ive been reaching for string cheese for snacktime, but was wondering if this was ok?

    Love this new way of life!!!

    Welcome to ADBB :wave

    I think you need to get your hands on a 2002 or newer copy of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution. You will find whole lists of what you can have and in the amounts like cheese is limited to 4 ounces a day during the induction phase.

    You can find a copy of the lists in our FAQ section of the board. You can eat any of the protein and fat foods when you are hunger and can budget your 3 cups of acceptable veggies to have some for snacking too.

      Great thanks! I just finished the book last night, so Ill take a second look at it. Don't want to do anything to stall.

        Have you found the food/recipes forums yet?
        Scroll right down the list of forums and you will find them - there are forums for lots of different meals as well as snacks etc

        F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )
