first week is the biggest loss but most of it is water weight..second week is a little slower ...and the third week for alot of us means a complete stop in weight loss...by the fourth it picks up again.
It takes awhile for your body to shift from burning carbs for energy to burning fat .. be patient .. it will pay off. Hopefully you are exercising which will increase your fat loss...drink your water and stay on plan.
Your body does what it needs to do, when it needs to do it. Especially when you follow Atkins and free your body from carb and sugar addiction.
Just losing one pound could be a miracle if it is a pound that doesn't come back.
Everyone is different depending on their genetic background, their nutrition, their bone structure, their level of metabolic resistence, and how much weight they have gained in the past. For that reason, we cannot compare ourselves to anyone else on this program.
I would put my focus on making this healthy way of eating a permanent lifestyle. If you stick to Atkins, and follow the instructions in the DANDR, to the letter, the weight loss will come. ha
