  • I feel BAD

    i feel so bad! i feel like i'm not losing weight. I'm just really whinng here!!! It's TOM. I cant get a reading on ketone sticks so i dont really know what is going on. I think i jump on the scale tonight.

    please say something! i need to feel better.

      Before you take the 'scale plunge' why don't you wait until your TOM is over. That is a strange time for any woman. Our bodies are full of hormones that cause us to retain water, et al.
      So take a deep breathe and press on. Make sure you get that water in. You might also want to consider restraining from salty foods until this time is over as well.

        I was feeling exactly like you these last few days. I wanted to give up but the idea of all my hard work (I have been doing this 35 days) was worth more to me than the M&M's that I kept thinking about. I forced myself to drink more water and get out of house into my garden so I wouldnt be thinking so much about it. My scale too, really has not budged, maybe a 1/2 lb. BUT.... I measured myself, 1st thing early morning, and LO and Behold, I have lost inches! Many told me here on the board not to fret the scales, and they are right. If you havent measured, do it. Measure everywhere. I was really surprised to see I lost 1/4 of a inch on my angles,,, so you never know, the weight mayb be coming off where you least expect it..... :nod

          put your sticks up and eat your Atkins according to chapter 11 of DANDR and you will be inketosis always!

              Give yourself some credit dearheart, you have been plugging away at Atkins for a long time and doing a great job of it. :hug

              I wouldn't recommend getting on the scale at any time, but especially not at TOM time. Your peace, your happiness, doesn't lie in a number on the metal monster.

              Wrap yourself up in self-love like a warm blanket.

              Tom time can induce erratic feelings. Honor those feelings, but acknowledge they may not be a true reflection of how things really are with you.

              Sometimes when I feel bad I really let myself run with it. I celebrate those bad feelings!

              I even find a sappy movie, sit down and ENJOY a good boo hoo.
