This always strikes me as a challenging question. You need to plan a breakfast. lunch and dinner and the inevitable snacks. It depends on specific tastes.

Plan your menu, first ... like, if you want eggs in the morning, buy a couple of dozen and if you are planning to eat bacon or cheese with them or dice up mushrooms, include those, as well. I'm a creature of habit and have different kinds of eggs and mix in veggies or saute them and have an omelette. Same thing for lunch and dinner ... you need some kind of protein and some kind of veggie. You need some salad veggies every day (see the list) and other veggies that you'll like (also see the Acceptable Food List). For proteins, I rely mostly on fish and chicken but also hamburger and steak and pork.

Besides the protein and veggies, I keep olive oil on hand, butter, Ranch Dressing, mayonaise, green tea, cheese, cream cheese, sour cream on hand.

      Best wishes.

        Re: Shopping List?

        Hey "Princess KAT"
Welcome! Have you purchased the 2000 edition of Dr. Atkins book? It's in paperback and there is an entire shopping list in the back of the book.
But for Induction you can only purchase the items that are listed as acceptable foods. That list is also in the book.
If you're not able to purchase the book right away, visit the website and click on Induction. Print out he Acceptable Foods list and shop away!
We're glad you're here with us!

        Be well-

I think it depends on how much variety you want in your eating. Just like ye ole Irish Irish said, I am a creature of habit, so I don't mind eating the same things everyday. I can spend 40 dollars and it buys 2 weeks worth of food.

            Lindas low carb menus

This is an excellent website that was recommended to me here on the forum. It has great recipes and a shopping list.

I have found her website very helpful, and she puts a little star next to induction safe recipes.

Your shopping list depends on your food tastes. For example, my shopping list contains things like artichoke hearts, bok choy and canned quail eggs.

Print out a copy of the Induction Acceptable Foods list and use that as your shopping list. Only you know what you like to eat or can eat.

An essential I can recommend is the Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution book. Please pick it up and read it. This book will tell you everything that you need to know plus more. You can get an idea of what you should put on your shopping list from the other responses to this thread as well as other threads on this website but it be best if you read the book to get the full gist of things.

                    By the way, welcome :hug
