  • Induction food question

Hi :wave My question is what if there are some foods on the menu that you cant really eat, could you substitute?

For example the menu for monday says : 2 Scrambled Eggs and 2 Turkey Sausages, could i substitute those 2 scrambled eggs with boiled eggs?

The menu is just a guideline to give you an idea of what to eat, so sure, no problem substituting boiled for scrambled.

It's up to you how creative you want to be with your foods...as long as the meals/snacks you eat are taken from the Acceptable Foods list and in the correct quantities, of course!

        Hey "TheGreatBodine"!
Welcome! The example menu is just that: an example. Yes, you can substitute with any other food that is on the Induction food list.

        Enjoy!
        Be well-

open a free account at fitday. com It will help you to keep up with your carb count for the day. You will need some measuring cups, and a food weighing scale.

Yes, fit day is a great help, but after a while on this WOE, you will know the carb count on everything you put in your mouth. From Boiled eggs to ball point pens.

Take some time and read the 'sticky's in this forum. You'll find all sorts of useful info and there's one about how to go about using Fitday as well.

Do you have a copy of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, version 2002 (DANDR for short)? or are you doing Atkins off of their website?

I'd suggest you follow the book, because the website is contradicting themselves by putting things in the Induction menu that are not on the Acceptable Foods list. This forum follows the book, and we don't agree with some of the things the website is offering up on it's Induction menu.

The book also lays it out pretty clearly how to do the plan, and more importantly, the 'why' behind the plan, and it's important to know that as well. :yes
