No you don't go straight on to maintenance till you reach goal and have completed the other two stages of Atkins - OWL and Pre-maintenance.do i stay on intro till im 139.. to pass the plateau or do i go to maintance ?
Pop over to the OWL forum and read the stickies there (if you haven't yet read up on the next stage) to learn how to start reintroducing different food groups and finding your CCLL to allow you to teach your body what amount of carbs you can eat and still lose weight.
By following the guidelines you will discover how many carbs you will be able to eat and stay at your goal weight once you move into the final phase of Maintenance for life. :joyWondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

OWL is fun and interesting as you will get to know how your body copes with the different food groups and see how many carbs you can eat and still lose weight - one of the mods was asking recently how on earth she could stop losing weight as she was already up to 100 carbs per day and still losing!!!
(Great problem to have, don't you think? :joy )
If you can't work out how to get started when you reach Day 15 just post your questions in the OWL forum and you will get expert help, advice and encouragement :hugWondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: Day 11 for me
Hey "Carolyn492"
Why don't you finish Induction (which is two full weeks) and then make your decision?
I'm on Week 2 Day 13. After tomorrow I will move on to Ongoing Weight Loss. My reason for moving on is that I'm looking forward to greater variety in the foods that I can have.
I hope that you get the information you need to make a wise decision.
Hang in there!

Hey "Carolyn492"
I don't think you will stop losing or lose this feeling. I think that the weight loss might not be as rapid if you decide to enter Ongoing Weight Loss but that's ok too because whatever you lose will be permanent.
You will also begin the journey in learning to eat in a healthy manner. I know for me THAT is just as important as losing the weight. I don't know how many times and how many thousands of dollars I've spent on diets where I lost the weight then went right back to the way I was eating before. There was no way I could ever eat the way they wanted me to.
With Atkins, I could eat this way for life and I know that you will learn to as well.
So hang in there!! You can do it!
Be well-
jade :hug

nice posture too!
Just wanted to say wow, what an incredible picture of you and your horse. And the trees in the background. Beautiful!
You get lots of credit for starting to exercise. Go a little farther everyday and you will soon be jogging as far as you want to go. :joy
Time, patience, EXERCISE, and staying in ketosis will get you past your plateau, I wouldn't worry about it.
Just eat clean no matter what level you choose to be on. You are doing great!
