    Answer: FALSE. Mushrooms are on the "Salad" list. All the vegetables on the salad list have a limit of 2-3 cups daily.

    3. 64 ounces of water is the maximum amount of water you have to drink daily.
    Answer: FALSE. 64 ounces of water is the minimum amount of water you drink daily. Most weight loss programs suggest the 64 ounces plus an additional 8 ounces for every 25 pounds you want to lose.

    4. Nuts and seeds are allowed during the first 14 days of Induction.
    Answer: FALSE. Nuts and seeds are not allowed during the first 14 days of Induction (so put away those peanuts and peanut butter!).

    5. Decaffeinated herbal tea without added sugars is an acceptable drink.
    Answer: TRUE. Decaffeinated herbal teas without added sugars, (grains and fruits) are acceptable drinks but they do not count towards your daily water requirement.

    Answer: c. turnips. Turnips are a root vegetable that is on the "other vegetable list".

    Answer: d. all of the above. Organ meats, like chicken liver, are limited to 4 ounces daily.

    9. What is the fat/protein/carb ratios during Induction?

    Answer: a. 65/30/5. The ratios represent the percentages of eat of these nutrients in your daily caloric intake. Atkins is a high fat diet, not a high protein diet.

    Answer: b. See your doctor for a check up and blood work. While it would have been cool if Dr. Atkins endorsed ADBB, he didn't. However he advised everyone to weigh and measure before beginning Induction. He also advised everyone to see their physician before beginning the diet and to get blood work--common sense advise for everyone.

    Low Carb Bars during Induction Okay or No-No??

    Hi ther all you adbb's . I am determined to make this work. It may take a few times getting it exactly right, but it will happen. I am encouraged by EVERY SINGLE BODY on this board! I need a little knowledge real quick- are the low carb bars (Net Carbs-2) okay during induction? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Thank you so much. Flo
