Moochie, do you "make" the ranch dressing before you dip the chops, or do you dip them in the ranch powdered before it's mixed into an actual dressing?Originally posted by MoochiecatI like to use them to scoop up tuna salad. When I first heard of doing that I was totally grossed out, but it's really good!
I like to crush them up, add dried rosemary, salt and pepper, and dip ranch-dressing coated pork chops in it, and bake.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I can see it working both ways, actually.
Hmm, I just realized you're in Canada. I'm referring to Hidden Valley Ranch, which is what's the most popular here in the states. That's why I thought maybe you meant powdered ranch.
Thanks. :wave

I use Kraft Rancher's Choice bottled dressing. Be mindful that the powdered dressings may contain things you shouldn't be having on Induction, so best to stick with bottled unless you're sure what you are eating.
You could also just use mayo...I've done that before as well. I'd mix some spices into it though to give it some zing.

Pork Rind Recipes
Hi all! :wave Not new to Akins, but back on Induction after having been "away" for a while. Here's a great "pork rind cereal."
Mix about 2 TBS of heavy cream
Add 1 packet of Splenda
Add cinnamon to taste
Mix well and then add about a handful of crushed pork rinds.
Coat pork rinds with mixture very well. Then eat!
It taste like "cinnamon toast crunch." I know it sounds weird. I was disgusted the first time I read it on this board about a year ago, but ended up pleasantly surprised.
Pork rinds are one of those things that you can dazzle up to go with anything. Have you tried Pork Rind French Toast yet? Absolutely delicious and tastes like the real thing!!! I have that with Atkins syrup, bacon and eggs....YUMMMMMMMM!
Mix about 1/4 cup of Heavy Cream -- add Splenda and cinnamon again. Add Pork Rinds (LEAVE THEM WHOLE) and coats. I like to get them really soggy. Add oil to a frying pan and fry the rinds on each side. Believe me...it's delicious!

can't bring myself to try other flavors yet though

Be really cautious about the flavoured pork rinds and read the label. Some can contain sugars and other chemically things.
Also, think in terms of nutritional value. Here we are, cleansing ourselves during Induction...do you really want to put 'monosomethingorother' into your system?
Just something to think about. :confused
