  • I've picked up a bad habit.....

I admit, I am a very picky eater, so Atkins can be a challenge for me. But I have discovered a bad habit....if I don't have a suitable food with me here at work or if I dislike the food I have with me, I don't eat :sadblinky

I thought about going to get a salad, but cold lettuce doesn't sound good at all. In fact, this 50 degree office doesn't make me want anything 'cold' at all.I think I may be toying with the 'Induction Flu', but geez....I can't keep turning my stomach at the thought of eating this stuff. It seems like once I've had one thing, I don't want it anymore (example: I had eggs yesterday and I would gag trying to eat one now! Same for tuna....)

If Atkins didn't work, I'd turn tail and hit the french fries...but I know it does, so I stay away from those....but then I don't eat at all..and when I head to the gym at the end of the day, that really doesn't help me get moving...

    Isn't there a happy medium??

    :laughing

The only alternative is to look over the Foods list carefully and pick out the things you like.

Lettuce isn't the only veggie on that "salad" list. Switch it up. Make a stirfry for dinner and bring the leftovers in for lunch. If you have a microwave at the office, you'll be able to heat it up.

Same thing about eggs. Lots of people just keep fixing eggs the same way, everyday, until the sight of an egg makes their stomach turn. There are hundreds of ways to cook eggs. The Atkins Revolution Rolls recipe contains eggs, but they don't look like eggs and they don't taste like eggs either (see the sticky above called "Induction Recipe Basics").

You might also want to look at different recipes and try them out.
