  • Drinking Water and Soft Drinks

    I currently drink about 120-150 ozs of water a day. Sometimes I want to have a soda. ( I was a huge diet coke drinker). I have stared buying Diet Rite, Cola, Red Raspberry, White Grape. It says it has No Carbs, No Sugar, No Caffeine and No Sodiom and sweeten with splenda. It is really a treat for me. Have any of you tried this brand? If so, what are your thoughts on drinking this product? Not substituting for water but as an additional treat.

    If you are going to drink any soda, then you picked the right one. Just remember to keep your sweetener intake (Splenda) to 3 sesrvings I believe. I am not sure exactly how many servings a 12oz can has...prolly one.

      Dite Rite

      That is definately the soda of choice for me as well. It has been recommended in this forum.

      They currently took Diet Rite off the shelves at my grocery store so I'm mourning my Diet Rite!

      ...don't substitute Diet Rite for your daily water intake.

        On the can it says it has NO carbs. Since it is sweeten with splenda, should I count it as 1 carb?

          I'm not sure how much Splenda is a can so not sure about the carb count. Do make you count it towards your artificial sweetener quota though. At least one serving, if not 1.5 out of the three you can have.

            alot of people do just to be on the safe side. They do that with foods to. For instance, Eggs say no carbs, but in reality they have 0.6. You eat 7-10 a day like me and thats 4.2-6 carbs daily.....not really a lot but you get the idea.

              I love diet rite! It is the best! I've never been quite sure on the carb count also, because something can be 0.9 carbs and the label will read 0 carbs. so I try to stick to just one per day - well, not even that much really.. but no more than one per day
