  • Started induction but have unavoidable "cheat" nex

    Ok...it isn't exactly a cheat.
    I'm participating in a "food study" at my university and it begins next week. I will have to "fast" for 3 hours (no big deal) and then eat a controlled meal that they will fix for me. It will be on tuesday which will be my 5th day on induction.
    They didn't tell me much..but basically that it will be half a sandwich and some watermelon. I can try to eat zero carbs the rest of the day to attempt to compensate but I'm sure I will be over my limit. How will this affect my induction? Will I simply need to add a day or two to my induction period or will it be like starting over (meaning starting today was probably not the best idea)

    Thanks =)

    Do what ya gotta do. Drink water and then get out of that study.

      eat, eat, eat!

      You won't be starting over. Just eat a big induction friendly breakfast and dinner that day.

      I wouldn't try to compensate by eating less carbs than what you are allowed on the induction menu. That kind of manipulation is part of
      an old calorie counting diet mentality. You are on Atkins now. So EAT!

      If you have cravings that were triggered by that controlled meal, be patient and know that these foods will be re-introduced to you later on
      the OWL levels.

      Good luck to you. I hope you do get some watermelon and not some weird scientific experiment!

        Fureya, I'm not sure if this thread is a double post. But you had a thread earlier with more replies.
