    Re: Easy Flax bread

I used to be obsessed with the flax bread. I've edited the recipe by chopping up some jarred-in-oil sun-dried tomatoes and baking them right into the bread. Any other twists people have come up with to spice up the flax bread?

I haven't tried this yet, maybe today. I do have a question though--with two eggs in the recipe, does this make it taste "eggy"?

I really did not like this at all. Then I got really worried about not liking flax. But then I made flax muffins with unsweetened coccoa and banana extract and now I LOVE flax. I think this bread would have been a lot better if I would have toasted it afterward.

Baking POWDER. If it says baking powder, use baking powder. Use it as a motto in life.

                  Re: Easy Flax bread

I usually make this with blueberries or raspberries, last night I added pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices. Was really good, more dry than with the berries but still good. I also add in a small handful of walnuts and spray the top with spray butter and sprinkle a mixture of Splenda and cinnamon that I keep in a shaker just for the breads. And no I don't think it tastes eggy.

Since this is the induction forum, I just wanted to point out to the newbies that the berries and the walnuts are not for this phase of Atkins so there is no confusion over tentcamps post!

You're right thanks for catching that! In a previous post I had mentioned after induction but maybe people don't read the entire thread. Thanks

Yeah, too eggy, very strange consistency. This time I'm going to go one egg, a little banana extract, a little Splenda and cinammon.

I have to admit I was very skeptical of this one due to the fact I don't like too many things you cook in a micro-
