Changing your lifestyle is difficult, and those bad carbs got us to the point where we needed to lose weight in the first place, so dang it if they are like evil sirens luring us back to eating them.

Remember, you don't need them, they will keep you down. You can do it, believe me, once you get past the cravings they will subside and you will have control over what you eat!

You guys are all too sweet.
I'm really annoyed because I had no craving - NONE! It is just a bad habit to eat that crap.
I am going to get up early and work out tomorrow. Take all my vitamins and eat right - no use dwelling - I have to move on!

            Thanks for the support!

I know how you feel! It is only a part of your mind that chooses to turn to food, while another part plans for a future goal of health and is feeling good. It is a daily choice then a weekly choice, then a daily choice, etc. for a while.

Ana, Hang in there, Like was said, dont beat yourself up. My suggestion might be to still log all that you have eaten. It might upset you to see how you blew everything up on one day, BUT, if you look at really what it did over the total amount of time that you have been on plan, it will not seem nearly as bad as you think. Changing your body, is all about what you do over time. If the averages show you are still on the downhill slope, you will probably feel much better. I know it works for me....

Got up this morning and immediately stepped on the scale - I weigh myself every morning upon rising. I was sure I would be up at least 2 - 3 pounds due to water weight. I was shocked that I had retained my weight loss of 5 pounds! Yipeee!!!!!!!!!! I immediately stepped on the treadmill and walked 30 minutes at a high pace. I would have done more bnut I had some prior commitments and was pressed for time.
Anyways - I am glad I didn't use yestaerday's mishap as an excuse to binge eat for the next week or so. I forgot to eat this morning but stopped what I was doing about 15 minutes ago and had 2 hard boiled eggs and I am going to have a sliver of cheese in a bit.
Lesson learned - I was up all night feeling sorry for myself - angry at myself - you name it I went through the emotion. So not worth it. I'm going to remember this so I am not tempted to eat things I don;t really want when I don;t even want them.

My suggestion is make sure you get a really good amount of water tommorow.

Now you have learned something. What does emotional binge eating get you?

Nothing! If anything it causes more stress and more anguish.

eating as a response to stress

you are not an idiot ana - how we talk to ourselves on Atkins is so very important. never berate yourself - congratulate yourself on your self-awareness. you identified that extra stress is a trigger issue for you. so think about how you can prepare an emergency response to stress that is atkins friendly.

if i'm stressed out and in danger of a binge I head it off by grabbing something real flavorful in a hurry. like pepperoni and mozzerella cheese or a mock danish.
