  • alcohol???

    I know that alcohol don't have carbs but the body uses it as fuel. I've been in "party mode" for the past 2 weekends and drinking diet sprit and vodka... and noticed that I've only lost 1 pound since. Should I go back to 14 day induction to get the ball rolling again?

    Technically, you're still in Induction, unless you've moved onto OWL or Pre-Maintenance. So there's really nothing to go back to. See, when you choose to do the "extended Induction", you choose to follow the Rules of Induction and eat only those foods listed on the Induction Acceptable Foods List. If you deviate and begin adding non-Induction foods, then you're not doing "extended Induction": you are either doing your own low carb diet or some weird modified form of OWL.

    Drop the booze from your Induction diet and see what happens. If you want to add booze, then move onto OWL where you can add it and other non-Induction foods legally.

      I'd lose the vodka, it's way up on the carb ladder.... I'm sure that's why your not losing. Have you read the stickys is the OWL section? They might help. :wave

        ok, I thought so... When I started induction I lost 20lbs in 2 weeks and once I started extended induction I assumed I could add very little alcohol. But I was wrong...ok I'll drop the vodka

          Ok....ok...i'm a prime example of this..and how alchohol will effect you. I drank 3 weekends ago and i've only lossed 3lbs since then. I'm off the alcohol for a while...and i would ditch it also if i where you. I'm ready to get the scale moving again!

            I didn't know that it could have that big of an effect. I thought if I exercise more that weekend I would still have results. But oh well, I'll leave it alone because I want to see those results again.....
