  • I ate a sandwich!!!

I was craving a turkey sandwich in the worst way, so I had one. Boy did it hit the spot! I made the Atkins Revolution Rolls for the first time, so I had two of those with mayo, turkey slices, tomato, and lettuce. I think the satisfaction was in holding it and eating it like a sandwich. The rolls were pretty good too! I barely noticed the difference... because when do you ever really taste the bread anyway? It's just there to hold the meat!

I almost felt like I was "cheating" though, so this is a good meal to keep in mind if I'm ever getting frustrated and feel like I can't have a sandwich. Luckily, that hasn't happened yet

That's awesome that you made Atkins bread instead of just grabbing no-no bread!

I had the same great "I ate a sandwich" feeling last night. I rolled up deli Angus beef with mayo and tomato in some red-leaf lettuce. Dang was that yummy!

My dear husband just charcoaled us some hamburgers for supper. He had low carb bread with his(he's maintaining his weightloss) and I wrapped my burger with a couple large lettuce leaves. Mine was delicious.

Lettuce is a great substitute for bread.
