I am so proud of myself! I made it through the Induction and lost 15 pounds. I stalled with the last 4 days though, but know it's to be expected as my body changes to burning fat instead of loosing water. I checked my ketone levels just to make sure, and it's a dark purple, almost black. So I know I am in ketosis still. :icondance I am going to continue with the extended Induction, and wanted to know when would be a good time to move to the second level? Any suggestions?

That's wonderful. You can stay on Induction for quite a while and since you still have 71 lbs to lose, you might consider committing to the next month on Atkins. Ask yourself: do you feel better? Have you lost weight? Have any of your other health issues improved? You can stay on Induction for a while longer and as you are ready start moving through the rungs. Remember that this is a WOL (way of life) and to continue to lose you need to stay in control of your carbs.
Also – Your ketostix should never be almost black. If they are constantly showing up dark, you need to drink more water.
Keep up the good work and Happy low-carbing!!!

Great job! You're off to a wonderful start. Moving to OWL is really an individual decision. Reread those chapters in your DANDR and assess if it's time to move on. The important thing is that you do move through all of the stages of Atkins in order to set lifelong eating habits, understand your CCL and know how certain foods will effect you.
