  • Fitday question

I put my fitday info in for the day and my fat was abou 83 and my protien was about 9 :yikes so I ate more 9oz of pork chop and my fat went down to 73 and my protien went up to 25. So I figure if I eat more protien during the day my fat/protien should work out by the end of the day. Am I thinking correctly on this?

Also, my carbs are 2 :yikes I had 2 cups lettuce for lunch and 1 cup brocoli for dinner. What is going on here? How can I up my carbs?

Someday I'll figure this out ::

I'm thinking you are thinking correctly. :yes
Remember that the numbers can bobble around a bit from day to day so don't panic if they aren't exactly on the 65/30/5, ok?

On the main page of fitday is a thingy where you can make your fitday visible to others and you can post a link. Perhaps do that so we can see what's up.

One cup of raw broccoli has 2 net carbs, and even iceberg lettuce should have a few, so not sure what's going on since I can't see your whole day.
Did you not eat eggs or butter or mayo or anything else with carbs that day? Remember to put in every single thing you eat.

Eating a bigger variety of vegetables both will up the carb count and give you a wider range of nutrients and fiber, so don't be nervous about switching up your veggies.

This is where planning kinda helps. I put my entire day of food listings in the morning time so I already know ahead of time whats my numbers are.

That is a very good way to use fitday :yes
When I started using it on induction I used to enter into fitday all I intended to eat for the next day so I could change my menus and snacks if my numbers worked out wrongly.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
