    Antibiotics, what will they do?

I have a bad sinus infection. Kinda explains why I have been so weepy and grumpy lately. I alway get grumpy before I get sick! So he put me on a Z-Pac (Zithromax) will it effect my weight loss? If so, for how long?

Zithromax is a pretty broad antibiotic and is used against alot of different bacteria.

The side effects maybe be a worry, because it can cause severe diarrhea, which would dehydrate you. Also, Whenever you take Zithromax be sure to take all of the prescribed doses. Many people stop taking Zithromax if they began feeling better. If Zithromax doesn't kill all of the germs, they might change (mutate) so that they can survive even when you are taking medications. When this happens, Zithromax Antibiotic will stop working. This is called "developing resistance" to the drug.

I came down with Strep a month or so ago and got put on Zithromax. It didn't effect me in any way at all other than getting rid of the strep, so, at least from my perspective, I wouldn't worry.

I've had a nasty sinus infection for about 2 weeks now. I suffered through the first week b/c the doc told me I had a virus and there wasn't anything to help. Sat I went back and was put on amox. and a decongestant. Today is the first day where I actually am starting to believe that I'm going to start feeling better. After all that rambling let me get to my point. I wondered the same thing but not for long b/c I knew that if I did have ill weight gain side effects that it wouldn't be b/c I did anything bad. I actually lost a 1 1/2 so it must not have been that bad. I did make sure that I drank alot of water and I actually havn't been to the gym except once and that made me feel worse so I decided to start on this Monday coming up. Nobody must have talked to me recently b/c I'm rambling on and on.

            Nice pics by the way.

I haven't exercised this week either, I'm just starting to feel human again! Got on the scale this morning, I haven't lost any weight, but I haven't gained any either. My weigh-in day is Wednesday. Think I will start exercising again on Monday.
