  • embarasing question..

last year on atkins I was on induction for about 4 to 5 months I started getting this underarm odor.. nothing I did or tried could fix it.. I was buying all kinds of deoderents... I then read that it could be caused by low blood sugar.. then when I found out I was pregnant I got off the diet and within a day or two it went away..

has anyone experienced this .??.. was I on iduction for two long...??

You also excrete ketones in sweat as well as urine and breath. That is probably the cause of the odor. Was it similar to ketosis breath?

It could also just be all the toxins your body is flushing out while on this WOE. Fat cells store lots of things, and with the fat burning and water consumption it just may very well be that as well.

        Just my guesses.

Maybe a little extra body spray or something. It probably isn't as bad as you think.

As for being embarrassed, I'm married with three kids and one on the way, nothing bothers me because I've seen it all.

You just have to worry about the 16000 other people reading this thread. LOL

Have you tried antipersperants? They will keep the sweat from coming out in the underarm area.

Now you know that everyone reading this post is smelling their arm pits! LOL!!!! I use Secret Platinum unscented antiperspirant, it works really well. Try changing your antiperspirant and see if that helps, somebody once told me that with things like antiperspirants, shampoos and conditioners, you have to change them every once in awhile or they stop working.

here's the secret: use MENS deodorant! When I got up to my highest weight I had a lot of underarm sweating, and I had little to none before...I started using old spice, and I can put it on once a day with no smelling later on.

                    Thanks for the advice ...

Just looking at how many people viewed this and Im feeling the sweat come on.. wooo it's hot in here.. :yikes lmao..

I think this has shed some positive light on my situation.. maybe I'll have to be underarm paranoid.. while Im on my strict induction but..at least I'll be gaining my health and losing this weight...

                    happy low carbin'
