  • =/ whooshie pie

I must say that I was reading a post about that whooshie pie, and how it makes you lose weight. I wrote the recipe down and made some last night, the way people were talking, I thought it would be delicious, or atleast somewhat enjoyable. After baking it, I ate some, in my own opinion the smell alone was enough to give me a slight case of nausea. :nono It tastes horrible, I don't know how many people will disagree with me, but it really does.
After forcing myself to eat most of what was on my plate, I drank water to wash the taste from my mouth. The good part about the pie is....IT WORKS! :joy stepped on the scale 4 pounds lighter this morning, I'll soon have to change my signature :icondance. Although it's not appetizing, I reccomend it, for people at a stall.

My DH likes it so much that he is always pestering me to make it! all he has to do is see I have bought minced beef at the supermarket and he starts!!
So we have it often - but I have never noticed a woosh after eating it :sadblinky

whooshie pie has horseradish in it and that is what causes the whoosh. Eating sashimi with lots of wasabi will do the same this. AS LONG AS you are retaining any water. Horseradish is a diuretic and will pull excess water out of your system. I used it this last TOM and did not experience my usualy water weight gain. In fact I had a loss during TOM!!! It does work and I highly recommend it for those who are only losing 1 week a month like I was due to TOMs water weight.

Oh, okay, so basically it's just like a hamburger patty with horseradish and mustard in it . Sounds yummy! Maybe I ought to try it. I have stalled for about a week now and I feel so bloated! I got over TOM about a week ago, and no loss. :anger

Let's clarify this....Someone made it, ate it, and had a little whoosh...but it's not a scientifically proven thing that you will lose if you eat it.
There's the whole thing about thermogenic foods, with horseradish being one of them, and it's entirely possible that you might experience a loss after eating this BUT I don't want to hear anyone come on here upset if they didn't!

You gotta really like horseradish to eat this though, that's for sure.

I use the idea of the whole thing and mix up my own middle layer. I like to saute up some mushrooms, peppers and onion, add some mozza and it's pretty yummy!
