    High Blood Pressure Meds

    Anyone out there currently taking blood pressure meds? I was reading in Atkins Essentials that High Blood Pressure Meds can slow down weight loss. I currently take Diovan which has a diuretic (info from webmd). I know I have lost at least 12lbs. But I'm starting my 4th week and I think I should have lost more considering I'm working out, following all rules and have not cheated.

    Anyone out there in a similar situation? If so, how has your progress been and what are you doing?

    Any info would be greatly appreciated.

      After 6 weeks, be avaluated. Most people find that they don't need High blood pressure meds anymore.

          I think I will check with my doctor. I have been monitoring my blood pressure and I have found that it is better than it has ever been the 3 times I have checked it. I want to come off now! lol! I know I can drop more if I wasn't on them.

              I take Lotensin for high blood pressure and no problems so far...be nice to get off them though! Johnny :guns
