I think we all started off with that fear :hug
Look at all the stories and photos down in the Low Carb Success Stories forum for some reassurance, or read the 'Losers Lounge' thread in the Main Atkins forum.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Have you tried it yet? Give it a try and see how it goes. It's pretty easy to stick to since you don't get cravings.

Hey Miss California! Welcome! Let me encourage you by saying, I too, wondered if I could ever get rid of the fat! And let me tell you....the answer is a resounding YES! I used to look at my body and think... "This fat will never go away, it's impossible!" After 15 months on this WOE I have lost over 100 lbs, 80 inches, and I am wearing sizes I have not seen in 20 years!
My advice to you is read Dr. Atkins book and follow it! Be patient with yourself and make the changes he recommends one small step at a time. Start a journal and record your weight and inches so you can always see where you once were. (Also, have a blood chemistry profile done with your Dr. so that you can track the awesome changes going on inside your body as well!) As your body begins to change you will be able to see the tangible progress on paper. (This is important to me to look at when I am feeling discourged or on a plateau! I also use it as a reminder of just how big I had gotten and where I don't want to go back to! :nono I have lost 10 inches alone off of each of my upper legs. Had I not recorded this...I wouldn't be able to see how far I've come.) Finally, come to this board and read the posts. They not only offer encouragement but they are educational as well. I have learned so much from the many knowledgable people here.
Just know, YOU CAN DO THIS! I promise, if I can, you can too! :hug

P./S. Another positive thing to do is to join a "challenge" here on the board. It creates some accountability as well as you gain encouragement from ha friends. The challenge I am currently a part of is the "I Challenge You! Drop it by September" challenge! Come on over!

          hi hon,

I felt the same exact way when I started this WOE I had tried so many diets and nothing had worked, but I decided to give it a try anyway and to my surprise the pounds just started coming off. I still can't believe how great this WOE is. Give it your all and i'm sure you won't be dissapointed :joy

          Good Luck :hug

You just gotta go for it!! I thought the same thing when I started. I have been off and on more diets than I can count over the last 15 years. Always losing a little, never making it anywhere close to goal, and always gaining it right back :no
When my friend told me about Atkins, I said "yeah, right, no way I can do that" But she challenged me to try it for atleast 2 weeks, and I agreed. Well, at the end of 2 weeks, I was down 16 pounds, so I thought, heck lets give it two months..then I was down 40 pounds...and felt great. Then I was hooked, I have been on this WOE for 20 months now, and I weigh less than I have in 18 years.. I actually see myself making it to my goal this time, and keeping it off!!

              YOU CAN DO IT!!

Hi misscalifornia. I too felt the same way you do. I had been on so many diets before, infact more than I care to admit to, and they all failed! But I just went ahead with this WOE, and it has totally changed me. Take one baby step at a time, and if you have any problems come here and get help, and before too long you will be in control of what goes into your mouth, and feel less hungry and have less cravings. Good Luck!!!
