  • H U N G R Y...

    Why am I so hungry all day long? I eat enough...I think I am overeating!
    Menu:

    Breakfast: 2 Scrambled eggs w butter and 3 turkey bacon strips

    Lunch: 2 Boiled eggs with ranch and mustard to dip and and 1 small cup diet pepsi

    Snack: 1/2 beef pepperoni and 1 slice cheese

    Dinner: 2 hamburgers with Lrg greek salad and 1 small cup diet pepsi

    and More than 8 cups of water!!!

    Is this a bad sign that I'm still hungry?

    Your diet looks a little low on vegetables, and you may want to spread some of your fat intake throughout the day. I know I would be hungry trying to subsist on just 2 eggs for breakfast and at lunch. That is just me. You may want to add more vegetables than just leaf salad veggies, like broccoli, cauliflower, and peppers (I eat more butter fried green peppers than anything else). Remember there is more to salad veggies than just lettuce.

      Get rid of the diet soda and anything else with caffeine...that's a common cause of hunger.
      I agree with bowulf about the veggies.. a little more won't hurt.

      2 eggs is not much food. I have the exact same as you for breakfast a lot and it barely tides me over 'til lunch. I would make lunch more substantial, like some turkey breast or something.

        Thanks for the replies..

        For my greek salad, I usually make it huge. I put green and red peppers, onion (little) tomatoe(little) lettuce, mushrooms, cucumbers, feta, crushed mint leaves and olives! I think that's a lot of veggies..no?

        Oh and about the pepsi, I also starting to think that it was making me hungry. I have stalled as well so maybe that's why!!!

        I just needed to know for sure...THanks again!

          Greek salad rocks!
          I was really pissed when this local sandwich shop closed up because they made a killer Greek salad. :anger

            Hello

            A few comments from me, are you counting all the carbs from your salads, are you staying within the allowence, if so perhaps spread the carbs throughout the day to avoid blood sugar spikes, any hidden sugars hidden in your dressings?

            I would suggest also that the pepsi is the most likely reason if the above are in check, this will cuase your sugars levels to peak and trough through out the day having an inpact on your hunger.

            Have you tested for Keytones, once this process kicks in you should have reduced your hunger levels (although not the case for everyone).

            Are you perhaps thinking about food too much and maybe just need to drink?

              I'm no expert but does the diet pepsi have aspartame in it? I started this WOE for the first couple of days drinking diet lemonade as well as the water, and I was starving - kicked the lemonade into touch and no problems since.
