Hi board! This coming Monday will be my 3 week mark on Atkins and I am doing pretty well ) I think) I have lost 15 lbs 2 inches off my chest :anger , 5 off my waist and 3 off my hips. I am now running into a problem where none of my clothes are fitting me well, especially since I have always had a huge butt and a smaller waist. My pants always had a loose waist and tighter butt ( which is what held them up), but now they are 1/2 down my bum when I stand up. I am too cheap to buy new clothes b/c I am sure this will happen again in another 3-4 weeks. How do you guys deal with switching sizes so quickly? Do you just get a lot of belts?

I have a friend who ones a resale shop. I plan on turning in my old clothes and picking out new ones while I'm there. When I get to the point where I can wear the same size for a season I will splurge on some new stuff.Michele SW250/CW 226/GW150 F, 38, 5'6"

yeah belts and it bunches up till it gets to the point where it's way too ugly, like it bunches up at the butt or you can see it if you wear a tighter top - that's when I stop wearing them and put them away. I refuse to buy anything else till I reach goal and just trying to squeeze into old "skinny" clothes - I mean, what's the point of having clothes in every single size all the way down to goal?

hehe I saved most of my skinny clothes...couldnt bear throwing out such nice clothes when Ihad hopes of someday wearing them again...ALSO, I like to wear pajama type pants...at old navy they have tons in all sizes and colors, some are more like workout type pants, but I have a pair that are medium (im an XL now) that I can still wear because they stretch out well, they were really baggy when I was skinny.~*~Clare~*~

Same here, I kept all the clothes that I wore on my way up to this weight, and am slowly able to fit back into each on my way back down from this weight!
I just got my box of old clothes out today to see what could fit me and what I want to work towards fitting into. It was fun! :icondance

I kept all my skinny clothes, I had so much fun because I took out my spring clothes, wore them for a few weeks, then had to put them away because they were all too big! I have those vaccum bags, store my clothes in them. Once I lose all the weight, I'm going to take the big clothes and sell them because I don't want to have the luxury of going up in sizes again!Chriss Female 246/236/160 5'3"

I've been going to a thrift shop to get clothes. I can't see spending a lot of money on clothes that I (hopefully) won't wear long. If I go on Wednesdays, then it's buy 1 get 1 half off. So, I could get two pair of slacks or two shirts or such like that for $3.00. So, when they only last for a few weeks or so, I don't feel like I wasted my money.

pretty much delt with the size difference until we got to a certain weight... then went and bought a few essentials and kinda combined it with some of the things we could still get away with. Fortunately we each had some "skinny" clothes we had hung on to that helped us out a bit also. There were a few items i took to our local drycleaner for alteration as well.Him 29, 5' & 5.5" Start Date 9.29.04
