Post your typical menu and maybe someone will spot something that's making you stall.

Hi Katy, a plateau or "stall" is defined as having not lost any pounds OR inches in 4 weeks with no cheating, sticking to plan, and regular exercise.

I stalled for 6 weeks and one day I stopped eating cheese - I found that an ounce or 2 every few days was fine, but not 3-4oz everyday.

Perhaps it's something that you're eating that's working against you... or maybe it's simply your body trying to adjust to your new weight?

If you're losing inches, it definitely means MORE than losing pounds! :yes

        Thanks!

Well, every morning for breakfast I either have 2 fried eggs or 1 fried egg and 2 slices of bacon AND at least 40oz water

At lunch I have a salad: lettuce, cucumber, celery and a few bits of yellow pepper. Some days I have mayo, some days I have no dressing at all. SOmetimes I have a few bits of cheese, but not very much - I heard it can stall you. At this point I also drink 64oz water

For dinner I have meat, most often either chicken breast or ground beef, with veggies that are either steamed or stir fried. I tend not to have a sauce with it, but sometimes I mix up a tiny bit of bouillon with hot water and make a small amount of "juice" to put on it. Almost every night i have a cup of sugar free carb free jello, sometimes with cream, sometimes without.

I am not drinking caffeine very often - sometimes I give in and have a diet coke if i really feel deprived, but thats about once every three days. I am drinking as much water as I can fit in. i am also going to the gym at least 4 times a week for at least an hour at a time - this week I have been every single day.

I feel really silly for not losing weight, I feel that I am trying so hard!!!

If you can help, I would really appreciate it :yes

First I would suggest spreading those breakfast fats/protiens and lunch carbs out between those two meals. Can you include how many carbs and you are having per day? You calories may just be too low. :confused

Katy, it doesn't look like a lot of food... how many carbs does it add up to in Fitday?

I am wondering if the sugar-free jello may be causing you problems? What about the caffeine or diet coke?

Firstly give this a read if you haven't already:

From your menu, it looks like you aren't getting enough fats in there. Are you using Fitday? Here's a link to help you figure it out if you are new to it.

The numbers can tell you a lot about where you are with your foods. :yes

Also, if you've stepped up your exercise you may be building muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat. Your body fat % may be going down, but with the muscle there, the scale can't reflect that.

I posted before I read the menu, deleted the post and am now adding this LOL

Your calories look low and so do your fats. Are you measuring your 3 cups of veggies a day or just "guessing?" It's important to measure.

Bacon has alot of salt and nitrates, and possibly can retain water. I limit my bacon to a couple of times a week! And I agree with the others, you seem to be eating to little!

Are you taking any supplements? I found that some of the supplements I had been taking inhibited my weight loss. I quit taking some of them and have been currently taking Atkins Basic 3 vitamin, calcium and L-carnitine (2) 500 mg caps twice a day. I think the L-carnitine helps too. My weight loss increased about 1 pound per week just from this small change.

Has anyone else tried using the Accel? :geek

Yes - with no results - still got half a bottle somewhere!!
I had problems taking them an hour before eating as my life is not organised enough for that :yikes
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

SO I got on the scales this morning and I am down a pound, which can only be a good thing...

                          BUT

I typed in all my food on fitday and it doesn't seem right - the percentages don't seem terrible, but I only seem to be eating 900 calories a day :confused

When I am at the gym I am losing a minimum of 400 cals (according to the machines which are personalised to me, my age, weight and height)

Thats almost half my intake... that can't be right surely?? I am veeeerrrrrry confused right now. urplequ:

I know what I am having for lunch and dinner today and have entered them in to FitDay and my percentages today are: Fat 60% Carbs 7% Protein 34% ensive

                          Weiiiiiiiiiiiiird... :help

Why not post the link to your fitday account then someone can see if you are entering anything in wrongly.

                            Or eat more food :hug
