  • And just like that...

Can you say 'BLAH'? This weekend was horrendous, and I am beyond mad at myself. On friday night I had gone to a party and figured everyone was drinking and I didn't want to be left out or have a horrible time being sober around a bunch of drunks. Anyway, long story short I had some vodka and water (which I figured would be the safest). I dont think it knocked me out of the K but I know the next morning when I was beyond hungover and ate a carton of icecream for breakfast I figured I may as well give it up for the weekend and start over this week. So here I go... by the book!

Hang in there Kelbel. That is sometimes all it takes - one thing that is not induction friendly to break the motivation. I know all about that :yikes

Hope this week goes better for you! :wave

That sounds JUST like what happened to me My friends came over a few weeks ago and offered me a beer...I didn't even THINK about beer having carbs, since, well, it's not really "FOOD". I got to the bottom of the bottle before I realized it and I just felt so crappy and so guilty since I had worked so hard...adn the next day my fiance ordered a pizza...i was like "oh what the ****, it's not like I didn't already screw up my diet anyways". It was really hard to get back on, but I did, even though I felt even WORSE because I ate the pizza...it took me a whole week to get back down to the weight I was at before the beer/pizza thing, but it definitely taught me a lesson! just one meal can cost you a week's worth of work!

You are so right - one thing we have to try and lose is this feeling that once we have had ONE 'illegal' food we might as well give in to the next temptation. :hug
If you do 'slip' with one meal or drink but then get straight back on the Atkins wagon you will find it much easier to stick to the WOE.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

i feel your pain, i kept giving into the food once i broke it, then tried to restart then would stuff it up so would eat carbs all day.. and then i started pigging out on it.. now im trying real hard to stick to it, im sure we will all get back on it since we have learned a lesson.
