  • The Idea of OWL

So I've been playing around with the idea of OWL lately--been there once and chickened out! I eased my way into adding more carbs--kind of iffy on the dairy rung though :confused I have not had a problem losing since I added the extra veggies, so I guess the proof is in the pudding! I'm an OWL :yikes

What extra veggies are you adding. I'm thinking about jumping over to owl here in about 8 more lbs. Just wondering.

The first rung of OWL is 5 net carbs of the Induction veggies (from either list). So if you want to eat an additional 5 net carbs of broccoli on top of your Induction amounts, you can.

i just added more of the usual-----broccoli, spinach, green beans, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms. I didn't just add in one kind, I've been experimenting with several different ones. Seems to be working well.

That's how you do it. The broccoli I mentioned is just an example. But any veggie from either of the lists are fair game on Rung 1.
