good or bad?

I just got engaged 2 weeks ago...ring size 7....had it for TWO WEEKS I tell you! And the ring is getting too big!!!! I don't want to have it resized yet because I know my fingers when I am skinny are a size 6...arg! Any suggestions? Should I just wrap some tape around it so it will be tighter? or is that really tacky?

Am in the same position - my fiance proposed back in Feb and bought me a size 9.5 ring. Well, now I am an 8.5 and it is still going down - I tend to wear a smaller ring "on top of it" if you get my drift, so it doesn't fall off.

In the long run just imagine, with that spare metal, you can have a pair of earrings made for your wedding :icondance

I think they actually make something to keep rings from slipping off. If you know your fingers won't get skinnier than a 6 I say get it re-sized as soon as you can. And I wouldn't mind seeing some pics of the engagement ring...I love looking at jewelry. Congratulations on the engagement too by the way! :joy

My wedding ring keeps turning under and poking into my palm. I think I am going to get it resized before fall because it is driving me bonkers! Isn't it awesome -- you're losing weight everywhere.

At Walmart in the jewelery dept. they sell a little box of plastic ring guards. These ring guards are cheap. Check it out.

I have put my wedding rings up for now(lock box). At my heaviest my hands would swell up terribly. My rings are a size 11. When we got married my rings were a size 6 1/2. so you see how big I had to get them made.

I am now wearing QVC fake diamonds til I get to goal. My QVC ring is a size 9 and it is to big now.

I am getting anxious to get my rings resized, but I am waiting til goal. But then I have been married to the same man for 34 years. I understand you just getting a new engagement ring , you want to wear it.

I used the little plastic guards from Walmart with my wedding set, until I got it sized. Last summer, I got it sized down from an 8 to a 5.5.. It was so loose, I was afraid of losing it.. I almost wish I had waited though, cause it is getting loose again, and I don't want to pay to have it resized again.

My wedding ring is barely staying on my finger. I can totally relate to your talk about rings falling off and having to resize them...

I'll have to check into where I can find ring guards here, i'm sure I can somewhere...

Haha this is actually why I started doing Atkins...I refuse to have fat wedding pictures! We are shooting on having it in February, but nothing is set in stone until I get down to at least 140. Would LOVE to be 120, but not gonna wait around too long for that to happen. I'll have to check out ring guards at Walmart, that sounds like a good idea! I am a size 7 now, and at my skinny weight I think I was a 6...so I'll probably get rezised before the wedding.

Wow I think I am a freak. I have heard most people go up and down in rings and shoes as the weight goes up and down but not me. I literally wear the same size rings at 120 as 200 and every weight in between. Shoes also. Size 6 shoes and rings and it never changes. The only time I have had to take my rings off or go up in shoes is the last month of my pregnancy. It makes more sense to me that these things would change.

lol girl you should see my toes....i think i have teh fattest toes in the world...even when I'm skinny, my toes have little rolls in them...they are kinda cute actually, they are really short and fat lol

Haha! I have never told anyone that I have gone down one and a half shoe sizes because I was so embarrased - I thought I was the only person in the world who could possibly see their feet shrink!!!! I am so happy that I now know I am "normal" :joy
